Teach The Teachers

Integrating Web-Based Resources into the Curriculum

Instructor - John A. Koester

Educators who develop a "WebQuest" will gain the knowledge, skills and tools to use Internet resources for classroom and professional use. Participants will learn the basics of Internet Explorer, conducting effective web searches, evaluating web sites for usefulness and validity, selecting resources to enhance the curriculum, and ways to promote critical thinking. Presentation and discussion of innovative ways of using the Internet in Standards Based Classroom Projects is a vital part of the program. Learning the basics of publishing on the web using a "Web Site Creation and Management program" is through hands on practice.
